Ruby LeVonne Golay, 79, went home to be with Jesus, January 14th 2022. She was born in Des Moines, IA on January 16th, 1942. Ruby enjoyed spending time with family & friends and had a special love for her children, grandchildren, and children with fur, big eyes, & whiskers.
She worked at the post office in Des Moines until her retirement. She touched all whom knew her with her smart witty sense of humor & selflessness.
Ruby was committed and loved to research genealogy; she wrote and published a book on her family tree – a very thorough text titled David Golay: His Ancestors & Descendants by Ruby Golay-Stover.
She will be deeply missed by all whom had the pleasure to have known her. Ruby was preceded in death by her father Robert Golay; mother Lorraine Golay; brothers David, Jerry & Daryl Golay; sisters Sandy & Karen; son David Gordon; daughter Pamela Merino; grandchildren Zachery & Rachel Dolan; and grandson Chad Leto.
She loved Jesus with all her heart and knew and trusted we will all reunite again at a later date through His sacrifice and divine love for us!
