Robert Majors Jr.

July 4, 1967 – April 27, 2026

Robert Cecil Majors, Jr. was born on July 4, 1967, in Springfield, Missouri, and joined his Heavenly Father on April 27, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Robert was known by many as a mentor and someone people often turned to for guidance. He was passionate about life, a loving soul, and a true fighter. He treasured time spent with his closest friends and grandchildren, especially fishing, camping, and taking on any adventure that came his way. His wisdom, love, and the lessons he shared with others will be deeply missed and remembered for years to come.

Robert lived by the words, “It’s always a good day to have a good day,” and “Always, be kind, be good.” Those who knew him will carry those sentiments in their hearts forever.

He is survived by his children, Shylbie Ann Majors and Brandon Robert Majors; eight grandchildren; and many dear friends whom he considered family throughout the years.

He was preceded in death by his eldest grandson, Landon Riley McVey.

Graveside services will be held on May 27, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive, Adel, Iowa 50003.
