Pamela Jo Hill, 64, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at home in Indianola, Iowa.
Pamela was born on January 18, 1960, in Des Moines, Iowa to her parents Richard and Margaret Christensen. She grew up in Carlisle, Iowa. She met Steve Hill at the age of 15 and quickly fell in love. They were married on March 12, 1977, at Avon Community Church in Avon, Iowa. They resided in Carlisle, Iowa where they raised their family.
Pam spent most of her life working as a registered nurse eventually gaining the title of Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant, but her real passion in life was her family. She enjoyed all things that involved her family, whether it was the outdoors, sporting events, or staying inside and playing a competitive game of UNO. She enjoyed spoiling her boys as much as she was able. Pam loved Christmas and did everything she could to make it as magical as possible for her family.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Steve Hill; children, Toby (Ashley) Hill of Carlisle, Jeremy (Amie) Hill of Carlisle, Bradley (Tabitha) Hill of Des Moines, Joshua (Jenna) Hill of Carlisle, Timothy (Samantha) Hill of Indianola, and Amy Curran of Carlisle; grandchildren, Anthony Hill, Devin Hill, Jayden Mace, Katelynn Hill, Alexis Hill, Tristan Hill, Daniel Hill, Avery Hill, Naomi Hill, Emma Hill, Aiden Hill, Harley Hill, Conrad Hill, Carl Poovey, and Sophia Hill; great grandchild Ayden Mace; siblings, Rodney (Debra) Christensen, Dennis Christensen, Janet Smith, and Carla (Roy) Benson. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret Christensen and brother-in- law Dave Smith.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Middle River Friends Church, 4057 S23 Highway, Carlisle, IA 50047.
