Michael Lynn Beals passed away peacefully on March 24th at the age of 48.
Michael was born on September 8, 1974, in Des Moines Iowa. Growing up the son of a Marine, he lived in North Carolina, Georgia and Maryland before moving back to Des Moines permanently at the age of 14 to live with his maternal grandmother Addie. He graduated from East High in 1994.
Michael worked at the Iowa State Fairgrounds and Casey’s General Stores but was unemployed at the time of his death.
Michael enjoyed being in the company of his friends and family, especially when it included the outdoors, swimming, and barbecuing. He had a huge heart and was a very giving person. He loved working/attending the Iowa State fair each year and listening to music.
Michael is survived by his, parents Bob and Cheryl Beals, grandmother Addie Delano, son Ryan Beals, sister Aimee (Nash) Johnson, brother Robert Beals Jr., as well as his niece, nephew and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Gerald Delano, paternal grandparents Everett and Ruth Beals, and his maternal aunt Christy Delano Mulvania.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Michael, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Bloomfield Road, August 12th, 1pm-4pm.
