LeeAnna (Root) Waldo went to be with her family in heaven on February 27th, 2021 due to complications from heart surgery.
LeeAnna was born October 2, 1943 in Lacona, IA to Beatrice June (Daugherty) Fogle and Clayton Stuart Fogle.
LeeAnna worked at Look Magazine and Motel 6. However, her most cherished professions were being a housewife, stay at home mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
LeeAnna’s hobbies included sewing blankets, making birthday cakes and mints, watching Family Feud, and rocking her grandchildren. LeeAnna was an avid fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr and loved attending country music concerts.
LeeAnna is survived by her children, Valerie (Greg) May, Tracy Root (Lori), Deanna Dunn, Jeremy Root, and Ron (Ronna) Waldo Jr.; brother, Bob Fogle; 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. As well as many extended family members, friends, and acquaintances.
LeeAnna was preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice and Clayton Fogle; sisters, Carolyn Spence, Marcia Brewer, and Sandy Fogle; husband, Ron Waldo; granddaughter, Heather Belieu; and great granddaughter, Katelyn Belieu.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 13th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm at the American Legion at 2211 E 42nd St, Des Moines, IA 50317.
