Keith Linden Goor passed away on March 31, 2026, while in the loving care of the Kavanagh Hospice House, Des Moines, Iowa, where he was visited by cherished family, friends and former co-workers.
Â
Keith was born on October 8, 1963, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, to June Isabelle Goor and Kenneth Charles Goor. He is survived by his siblings:  Kenneth Eldon Goor, Kathleen Goor-Geressu, Rosemary Wylie, Jesse Anderson, and Arlene Bennett.Â
Â
Keith loved music—he was selected for the Minnesota All State Choir in high school and was offered an opera scholarship at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. After graduating from Pine City High School in Minnesota, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1982 to 1986. Following military service, he worked a variety of jobs, culminating in a long career with the U.S. Postal Service in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Des Moines, Iowa, from which he had retired in December 2025.
Â
Keith had a deep passion for music, science fiction and love for his two cats, Joker and 2Face. He had a quiet way of looking out for others, often stepping in to support those who needed it most. His kindness and instinct to care for both people and animals were simply part of who he was. His parting gift was sharing a personal, special memory he had for each of us. Â
Â
Keith’s family would like to encourage memorial donations be made to the Kavanagh Hospice House through giving@everystep.org or to the American Diabetes Association.
