Jody Walker

Jody Rae Walker, born Jody Rae Nichols on December 3rd, 1961, passed away on February 23rd at 11:22am, after a week spent surrounded by her adoring family. She was a woman cherished by her family, known for her small stature but larger-than-life spirit. Jody, who was often adoringly called “Sparky”, was spunky, thoughtful, stubborn and loving, with a fierce pride in herself and her service as a proud US Army Veteran. Despite facing numerous health challenges, Jody was a fighter, a quality she exhibited throughout her life, including her triumph over breast cancer. She had a knack for letting everyone know when she didn’t like something but balanced it with an immense capacity for love and loyalty. Jody found joy in simple pleasures, she loved camping, playing Bingo, admiring Harley Davidson motorcycles and Native American jewelry and art.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Walker, her devoted mother, Donna Mein and mother-in-law Eileen Walker. Jody will also be missed by her daughters Megan Mein and Katlyn “Katie” Sawhill, siblings Kim Beebe, and Jeff (Deb) Nichols, brother-in-laws, Jeff (Terri) Walker and Barry Walker and all of her nieces, Rae, Casey, Nichoel, Ashley, Kayla, and Bianca, along with their families, comprising 17 great-nieces and nephews and one great-great-nephew.

Jody is preceded in death by her father, Larry Nichols, her stepfather Lloyd Mein, her brother Todd Nichols, her brother-in-law Randy Beebe, and her aunt Judy Nichols.

Please help her family and those whose lives she touched celebrate her life with the same love, humor, and resilience that she exemplified. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.
