Jason Edward Howell

Jason Edward Howell, 45, of Des Moines, IA passed away unexpectantly on April 27, 2025. Jason was born in Sioux City, IA on June 18,1979.

Jason was a kind and unique soul. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on automobiles. Jason was always available to lend a helping hand.

Jason is survived by his parents, Linda and Gary Howell; siblings, Jeromy (Melissa) Howell, Tabetha (Greg) McCleary, Tanya (Jim) Eckhardt; Amber (Derek) Schmidt; nephews, Damien Howell, Braxsten Schmidt, Beau Schmidt, Bentsen Schmidt; nieces, Chloe Howell, Lily Eckhardt, River Eckhardt; stepson, Calvin Bartlett and two German Shepards, Sonny and Benny.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Eveyln Deets, Doyle and Ernie Howell, Beverly Howell and Bill Harrison, cousin, Ernest Root.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Winterset City Park (North Shelter) 124 W. Court Ave. Winterset, IA 50273 on June 1, 2025, from 12:00PM-6:00PM.
