Geraldine Marie Hall (Jerri) was born on April 26, 1946, in Knoxville, IA, to Floyd and Mildred (Wallace) Goemaat Sr. She passed peacefully on January 6, 2025.
She grew up on the family farm in Swan, IA, and graduated from Pleasantville Community High School in 1964. Jerri attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, where she met her husband, Harvey Emmet Hall. Their daughter, Melissa, was born from this union.
Jerri spent most of her life in Pleasantville, IA. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brought her the greatest joy. She never missed a chance to support them in their activities, and she deeply cherished her role as a grandmother, which brought her immense happiness and fulfillment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mildred; her sisters, Judy (and her husband David) and Patricia Tille; her brothers, Floyd Goemaat Jr. and Douglas Goemaat; and her nephews, Nathan and Aaron Goemaat.
Jerri is survived by her daughter, Melissa, and her husband Kelly; their children, Kristopher and Shanna Gibson, Bethany and Lanae Gibson; and her five great-grandsons, Shaden, Braxten, William, Parker, and Alex, who filled her heart with love and pride. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Al Tille, and her two sisters-in-law, Rebecca Goemaat and Theresa Goemaat, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private interment service will be held at the Gullion Cemetery in Attica, Iowa, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pleasantville Sports Association PO Box 131, Pleasantville, IA 50225, or the Pleasantville Youth Initiative PO Box 295, Pleasantville, IA 50225.
