Ernest Sylvester Thomas, 67, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away October 5, 2020, surrounded by family. He was born on August 26, 1953, to Ralph Thomas and Pauline Husted.
He is survived by his 4 children, Steven (Kassy) Thomas, Robin Thomas (fiancé James Mattson), Angela (Jason) Dows, Ryan Thomas (Tiana Henry), and honorary son Eric (Amy) Stegeman; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson; sister, Bev (Gary) Wright and brother Tommy (Terry) Dawson; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and long-time friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Standly Husted, brother Ralph Thomas Jr. (Butch).
He had a very big heart and will be greatly missed.
