Douglas “Dougie” “Crow” Burgett 71, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at Azria Care Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
The family will be holding a service Monday, October 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall, 1511 South Union, Des Moines, Iowa.
Douglas Earl Burgett was born in Des Moines, Iowa on February 23, 1950; he was the son of Roy and Harriett (Knause) Burgett. He attended school in Des Moines and attended Community College. On February 15, 1986, he was united in marriage to Kyla Lemons in Altoona, Iowa. He had worked as a Truck Driver. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing and Nascar. He loved the 49er’s football, Chicago Cubs, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 35 years Kyla, children, Dougie(Christie) Damerville, Michael Burgett and Willie Schaurtzman, grandchildren, Clayton Damerville and Paeyton Suggs, and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Cameron, siblings, Steve(Beth), Bob( Kim), Glenda (Dave), and many nieces and nephews.
In death Doug rejoins his parents, Roy, and Harriett, sister Joann and niece, Sarah.
