Della Mae Bebber, 95, passed away at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center, on March 11, 2023. No services are planned, and a private burial will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Bebber was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Otis & Mary (Ridgeway) Bunch on May 2, 1927. She was united in marriage to James E. Bebber on July 27, 1944. Mrs. Bebber worked side by side with her husband for many years at A & P Grocery Stores before the grocery store chain closed. Mrs. Bebber took early retirement from the grocery chain and went back to work at Wallace Homestead in Des Moines until 1984 when she and her husband retired to Arizona for the winters. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, making jewelry, and spending time with her family.
Della will be missed by her two daughters, Judith Green of Tucson, AZ, and Karen (Jack) Davis of Perry; three grandchildren, Mark (Evelyn) See of Tucson, AZ, Jacqueline (Mark) Loynachan of Knoxville, and Elaine (David) Lowe of Johnston; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Lathrum (Brandon McCracken) of Perry, Rachel Loynachan (Justyn Schnipkoweit) of Davenport, Rubi See and Kenneth See of Tucson, AZ, and Anthony Roe of Johnston; and one great-great grandson, Ashton McCracken of Perry. Other survivors include a brother, Robert (Donna) Clark of Des Moines, two sisters, Martha Martin of Des Moines, and Dorothy (Gary) Huss of New Virginia, sister-in-law, Helen Penman of Runnells, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Otis (Frances) Bunch and Mary (Zenies) Clark, her husband of 62 years, James, brothers, David Bunch, Ernest Bunch, Charles Bunch, Donald Clark, Harry Penman, Jack Penman, sisters, Daisy Conn and Peggy Clark, son-in-law, David Green, and a son, Jimmy Joe in infancy.
