David Lawrence McGrath

David Lawrence McGrath, 70, was born on June 15, 1955, in Utica, Missouri, and passed away on April 2, 2026, in Greenfield, Iowa, at Greenfield Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. David’s love for life was contagious. He inspired those around him with his devotion to his grandchildren and his two loyal companions, Lulu and Whiskey. He found great joy in sharing adventures with his wife, Elaine, whether reeling in a big catch, perfecting his golf swing with his boys, or creating lifelong memories on family road trips.

During sun-kissed summers, David’s enthusiasm was palpable as he cheered on loved ones during cornhole games and came up with rules to keep card games exciting and fun.

David is survived by his wife, Elaine McGrath; his children, Natasha Woody (Jimmy), Shaun McGrath (Jessica), Kyle McGrath (Jessica), and Anna Koon (Brian); as well as nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean Karen McGrath, and Richard McGrath.
