Carol Kimbell

   Carol Ann Kimbell (84) left us on December 23, 2023 and went to spend the holidays with her children who’ve passed before. She was surrounded by family throughout her final days in this world. She left us while in her own room and in the company of her daughter, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

   Carol was born to Delmer (Red) and Areline John on November 20, 1939. She was the seventh of eight children. She grew up in a large, loving, and loud family. She stayed close to her siblings, and family was always her first priority. She spent over twenty years working for Western Auto, later known as Parts America, or Advanced Auto Parts. 

   Carol was a loving mother to four children: Leann, Deanna, Claude, and Durrus (Doug). Tragically, she lost Doug in 1979, Deanna in 2019, and Claude in 2021. 

   Carol was also preceded in death by her parents, and several siblings: Harriet, Richard, Evelyn, and Kathy. She was eager to join these loved ones, waiting for her in heaven. She leaves behind her eldest daughter, Leann Folkers, step-daughter, Suzan Ritter, her children-in-law (whom she loved like her own), David Folkers, Mike Routh, and Cindy Adams, and her ornery, yet beloved-by-her cat, BB. She is also survived by a huge number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren.
