Barbara Jean (Kuhns) Howard gained her angel wings on July 8, 2022, comfortably at Taylor House, Des Moines surrounded by family. Born on July 5th, 1951, Granny spent 71 wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. A comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family, her friends, and mostly her grandchildren. A loving and wonderful woman until the very end, she will be greatly missed.
B.J. (Granny) is survived by her husband Dean Howard, her children Jeff and Jodi Benjamin, Chris and Stephanie Howard, Kari and Scott Tobin and Nikki Brock. Granny is also survived by her beloved 9 grandchildren, her brothers David, Terry (Terri) Kuhns, sister Dixie (Greg ) Herman and countless friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Richard and sister Kathryn.
There are no events planned, as Granny did not wish to have services.
