William Luke Gaule, 92, went to be with his Savior on July 8, 2021. He was born on August 3, 1928, in Hamilton, Illinois. He graduated from Fort Madison High School and attended Iowa State University. He worked as a draftsman and as a very talented carpenter throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Minnie Gaule, brothers; Richard, Joseph, and Robert and by son-in-law; Michael Brown, daughter-in-law; Ann Gaule, and his first wife; Arleta Mings.
After returning from the Korean War, he married Lois Arleta Boyd in 1953 and they had four children. In 1995 he married Arlene Kay Oneth and they resided in Des Moines. Arlene survives Bill and lovingly cared for him in their home where he passed away peacefully.
He is also survived by his children, David (Julianne) Gaule of Vero Beach, FL, Karen Brown of Emmetsburg, IA, Cyndi (Cris) Rohrer of Lubbock, Texas, Julie (Dane) Parks of Lubbock, TX and step-son, Brian (Chrissy) Harlow of Slater, IA . Bill is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and by nephews, Richard Gaule of Cotati, CA and Bill Gaule of Odessa, TX. He will be greatly missed.
