Suzanne Connelly

Suzanne was a loving caring wife, mother, sister and friend.

She left this world on February 25, 2021 at the age of 63.

She was born to William and Louise Wright on March 2, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa. Suzanne married the love of her life Mark Connelly on March 31, 1979. After the wedding they moved to Kittery, Maine where Mark was stationed with the United States Navy. Suzanne feel in love with the ocean and the scenic Northeast. Suzanne would always find the rotaries in New England to be a challenge when driving. When on her way to a local mall in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, after many wrong turns Suzanne found her way in Boston, MA. Suzanne was always up for adventures and loved visiting little towns. She found many more opportunities to get “lost” in the small towns of the Northeast were she found many new friends and fun times.

Suzanne volunteered to be a Navy Ombudsman for the USS Lafayette crew. She enjoyed assisting the navy wife’s while the boat was out to sea, where they became her second family. Suzanne was a proud Navy wife, and help in any way possible. She loves attending the Navy Balls and showing her support to her loving husband that she absolutely adored.

Suzanne and Mark were then stationed in Washington state, were she found her home away from home for 11 years. Suzanne loved taking her son on walks on the beaches, where they would spend hours hunting for seashells, rocks and feeding the seagulls. Suzanne loved nature, the sea and found peace and serenity in all gods creations and creatures. It was not uncommon for Suzanne to feed the local wildlife and all the strays. She had the biggest heart for all the underdogs and those that needed help. She has the most kindest, gentlest heart, and was always there for those that needed her. No person or animal big or small was above Suzanne’s care and loving heart.

A quote that best fits for how Suzanne lived her life is “Carry out a random act of kindness with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you” Princess Diana.
