Sherry Lee Briggs, 76, passed away on October 25, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 2-4 PM at the Croatian Fraternal Slavic Center, 6575 Indianola Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50320
Sherry was born on August 10, 1946, to Lewis and Ellen (Israel) Huxford. She worked at Vanity Point for twenty years. Sherry will be remembered for her love of crafts, her grandchildren, and the Iowa State Fair. She was the sweetest person anyone ever met. She loved to sit outside and people watch.
Sherry is preceded in death by her parents, Ellen and Lewis Huxford; sister, Sandra Stepp; granddaughter, Savannah “Scooby”; and grandsons, Wacey and Tucker.
Sherry is survived by her children, Kristie (Scott) Briggs, Samantha (Darin) Throckmorton, Rusty (Andi) Briggs, and Mandy; 17 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
