Sharon Mae Muffler, of Runnells Iowa, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born May 10, 1941, in Winterset, Iowa to Charles and Nora Evans.
Sharon attended North High School in Des Moines, Iowa. She married her high school sweetheart Larry Muffler on March 26, 1958, and together they raised three sons.
Sharon is survived by three sons, Mitch Muffler (Denise) of Des Moines, IA, Todd Muffler (Stacy) of West Des Moines, IA, Paul Muffler (Roxanne) of Pleasant Hill, IA; eight grandchildren, Chad Heathcote (Julie) of Adel, IA, Lucas Medford of Westminster, CO, Shawn Coffman (Danielle) of Ankeny, IA, LeeAnna Muffler of Des Moines, IA, Jade Muffler of Pleasant Hill, IA, Jessica Lathrop (Matt) of Des Moines, IA, Brittany Marvin of Indianola, OH, Justin Banks of Beebe, AR; six great-grandchildren, Eli, Lucy, Hunter, Kelly, Alice, and Willow. She leaves behind many loving family and friends. Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Larry Muffler and her parents, Charles and Nora Evans.
The memorial service will be Monday, July 17, 2023, at 12:30 PM at Westview Church, 1155 SE Boone Drive, Waukee, Iowa, where the family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service. Sharon will be laid to rest with her husband Larry at 2:00 PM at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, 34024 Veterans Memorial Drive Adel, Iowa.
