Russell Jerry Hull, son of Russ and Carolyn Hull, was born December 30, 1959. He grew up in Des Moines and graduated from East High School. He passed away on September 8th at the age of 61.
Jerry worked several jobs but his favorites were mowing grass for the City of Des Moines at Grandview Golf Course and being a member of the IATSE Local 67 Stagehand union. He loved music, the outdoors, fishing, NFL (especially the Raiders), cold brews, NASCAR, his family and friends. He enjoyed traveling to Kansas City to visit his sister, Shelley, and friend, David, and going to Arrowhead Stadium and tailgating.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Ted English. He is survived by his siblings: Barry (Paula) Hull, Chris English, Kim (Alan) Barr, Lori (Orlan) Rustan, Shelley (Matt) Franko and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 16th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Grandview Golf Course, 2401 E. 29th St, Des Moines followed by burial at Rising Sun Cemetery, NE 64th St. Pleasant Hill.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa.
