Robert “Bob” Duane Lackore

February 21, 1946 – November 2, 2025

Robert “Bob” Duane Lackore, age 79, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, there will be no public service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and family and friends will be notified with further details.

Bob was born on February 21, 1946, in Osage, Iowa. On a special day in Charles City, he married the love of his life, Linda Weiss, on her birthday. Together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda, and his parents, Robert and Helen Lackore.

Bob’s memory will be cherished by Mary Carpenter, partner of Urbandale, Iowa; his sons Paul (Erin) Lackore and Brian (Michelle) Lackore; and his five grandchildren: Aidan, Kelsey, Gavin, Owen, and Liam Lackore.

A dedicated and successful businessman, Bob co-owned Material Handling Innovations for over 20 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed boating and appreciated being on the water. He was an avid card player, especially fond of playing bridge with friends. Later in life, Bob pursued stock trading as a favorite pastime and remained a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. He loved traveling and was fortunate to explore the world during his retirement.
