Ricky Dale, 71, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Des Moines Veterans Hospital.
Richard Edward Dale was born in Des Moines, Iowa, he was the son of Bryan and Marie (Cole) Dale. Ricky grew up across from Grandview Park. He was loyal to Lee Township, educated at St. Joseph grade school and graduated with the East High Class of 1967.
Ricky served his country honorably in the military and was a Combat engineer in Vietnam, was the Battalion “Demo guy” and their tunnel rat. Rick was promoted, demoted, promoted, and demoted again. Returning home, he studied to be a Journeyman carpenter and was a proud member of the Local #106. Rick worked on most of the large projects in downtown Des Moines and central Iowa.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Kathy Dale, brother, Dan Dale, nephew, Dan (Lisa) Stamper, great nephew, Bryan (Christy) Stamper.
In death Ricky rejoins his parents, Bryan and Marie Dale, sister Linda Dale, niece Lisa.
There will be no visitation or memorial service at this time.
