Patrick “Pat” Lee Price, 74, passed away on February 16, 2023, in Des Moines, IA
Pat was born on June 2, 1948, to William and Ellen (Rush) Price in Iowa. He grew up in West Des Moines and graduated from Valley High School. He lived his adult life in the Des Moines area. Pat served the Army in a military hospital in Okinawa as a dental assistant from 1968-1971. He worked for many years individually and for several sign companies as a signwriter. Pat had a gift of gab and a good sense of humor. He enjoyed various artwork, photography and playing guitar.
Pat is preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Harker and stepfather, Marion E. Harker; sister, Kathy Foley (Price) of Cincinnati, OH.; half-sister, Mary-Ellen Shumate (Harker) of Memphis, TN.; and stepbrother, Marion R. Harker of Atlanta, GA.
Pat is survived by his stepbrothers, Dennis Harker of West Des Moines, Daryl Harker of Perry, and Gary Harker of Warner Robins, GA; half-brother, Leland Harker of West Des Moines; half-sister, Raynee Wheeler (Harker) of Norwalk; and half-brother, Dana Harker of Chariton.
Funeral services at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery will be scheduled for a later date.
