Patricia Ann Ginther-Giles
Patricia Ann Ginther-Giles, 80, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2026. Born on January 4, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa, Patricia brought joy and laughter to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Patricia was the cherished daughter of Betty Jean and Herbert Gene Pennington. She grew up alongside her siblings Carol Conrad, (Ginther), Richard Ginther, and Gerald Ginther, all of whom preceded her in death. Her vibrant personality and playful spirit were evident from an early age and remained a hallmark of her character throughout her life.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Patricia's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her three children: Denise Magnani (Kris), Michael Kreutz (Dawn), and Corey Kreutz (Cindy). Her love extended deeply to her eight grandchildren—Riley, Scott, Cody, Katie, Jade, Wesley, Dylan, and Stephanie—each of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Patricia also shared a special bond with her beloved dog Tuffy, an overweight chihuahua who held a special place in her heart.
Patricia had a zest for life that was truly infectious. Known for being playful and funny with a mischievous streak, she could light up any room she entered. Whether dancing or cracking jokes, she had a way of making those around her feel uplifted and loved. Her passions were as unique as they were endearing. She was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and never missed an episode of her favorite soap operas. Patricia also had a fondness for culinary indulgences like Felix and Oscars' Cheese Topper pizza, McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and Tasty Tacos.
Her love for beauty products was another signature trait; she adored experimenting with wrinkle creams and makeup. These small joys reflected Patricia's vibrant personality—a woman who embraced life fully and found delight in both the simple pleasures and the people she loved most.
Though Patricia has left this world, the memories of her warmth, humor, and boundless love will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
