Patricia A. “Patty” Silverthorn, age 74 passed away October 31, 2023.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Patty’s main job when her children were young was being a stay-at-home mom. Later in life, she had been self-employed as part owner of a few different business ventures; along with a few years doing bookkeeping with Capital City Fruit and Nesbit Distributing. The last few years she was retired and spent her time with Kimmy doing anything from getting their nails done to watching the Cubs Play to taking off and flying to Alaska to visit family and going on road trips for more family visits as far away as Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her sister Joanne Hughes, daughters Terri (Jim) McClelland, Cindy (Marty) Goodrich and Kimmy; and a son, Joe (Janette) Harris and grandchildren Charlie, Jonathan, Maddie, Missy (Justin), Cassie (Brandon), Allie, Katie and Cody and great-grandchildren Lucas, James, Jackson, Jacob and one-on-the-way. Along with many nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Jean Gilliam, brother Bob Gilliam and sisters Christy Loyd and Connie Santee.
Patty loved life and delighted in being surrounded by her family. Her house was always where everyone would gather for holidays, get-togethers and for her homemade meals!! When not planning the next family gathering or next road trip, she was at the ballfields watching nieces, nephews, and grandchildren play or at home watching the Chicago Cubs with Kim!! One of their favorite pastimes.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family to help with final expenses.
