Pamela Sonja Stanley (Weston)

Pamela Sonja Dory (Weston), lovingly known as Pam, was born on July 13, 1950, at Skiff Hospital in Newton, Iowa. She passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, in Des Moines, Iowa, surrounded by her family.
Pam was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every opportunity to spend time with the people she loved and took great pride in watching her family grow. She also had a special place in her heart for animals, especially her beloved dogs and granddogs, who brought her countless moments of happiness.
Pam was a hardworking woman who rarely sat still. She was always finding something to do and doing whatever she could to keep her family going. She gave so much of herself to the people she loved, often putting their needs before her own. Her strength, determination, generosity, and love will be remembered by all who knew her.
Pam is survived by her daughters, Kristi Barclay (late husband Dale) and Nicola Curtindale; her sons, Scott Butler (Katie) and Randy Cross (Amanda); her brother, Michael Weston; her sisters, Barbara Weston and Fran Brewer; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory and love with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Virginia Weston, and an infant brother.
At this time, no formal service will be held. A celebration of Pam’s life will take place at a later date, giving family and friends the opportunity to come together to remember, honor, and celebrate a remarkable woman who meant so much to so many.
Though Pam is no longer with us, her love will remain—in the memories she created, in the family she devoted her life to, and in the many lives she touched along the way.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Pam’s special love for animals, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Animal Rescue League
