Norman Lee Roberts, 75, passed away on October 15, 2022. Services will be held Thursday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Iowa Veterans Cemetery located 34024 Veterans Memorial Dr. in Adel, IA with a Celebration of Life to follow from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Elks Lodge located at 5420 E. University Ave. in Pleasant Hill, IA.
Norman was born to Boyd and Lena (Carico) Roberts on April 2, 1947, in Des Moines, IA and was the youngest of four children raised in and around the Pleasant Hill and East Des Moines area. Norman served in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Heildberg Germany. After returning, Norman spent many years helping his father with their family tree business and spent thirty plus years working for Armstrong Tire.
Norman was an avid fisherman, hunter, and golfer and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Norman is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill Roberts and Larry Roberts, and son Eric Roberts.
Norman is survived by his children, Renee Cort (Jay Bishop), Ryan (Christy) Roberts, Lindsay (Nick) Bethards; ex-spouse and mother of children, Jackie (Wall) Roberts; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Johnston, extended family, and a great group of friends he visited with daily.
Norman was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
