Norma (Toll) Walker, 91, of Bondurant, Iowa, sadly passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Norma was born to Ira and Nellie Toll on June 28, 1932. She graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1950, where she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Daryl Walker. They just celebrated 72 years of marriage.
Three children were born from their union, Steve, Tom, and Judy. Daryl and Norma owned and operated Walkers Cleaners in Winterset for several years. Their dream was to live by the water, therefore, they purchased a home on Sun Valley Lake, where many memories were made with family and friends. They later moved to Bondurant, to be closer to family. Norma was employed at Walmart for several years until retiring.
One of Norma’s favorite past times was reading. She also looked forward to hosting family dinners on Sundays, as family meant the world to her. You would always see a smile on Norma’s face when animals were near, and she had several cherished pets over the years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daryl Walker of Bondurant; sister, Wilma Evans, of Iowa City; sons, Steve (Kim) Walker of Winterset; Tom (Trena) Walker of Prole; daughter, Judy (James) Nelson of Mitchellville; grandchildren, Shane Walker, Seth Walker (Whitney), of Des Moines; Amber (Michael) Wise, of Winterset; Tom Shelley, of Pleasantville; Craig (Sam) Walker, of Indianola; Lucas (Leann) Nelson, of Bondurant; Andrea Nelson (John), of Colo, and 15 great grandchildren.
