Naomi Elizabeth Gorman Nov. 17, 1936 – Nov. 29, 2024

On Nov. 17, 1936, Joseph and Grace (Bevard) Jacobs welcomed Naomi Elizabeth into their family home in Oskaloosa, Iowa. On July 2, 1953, she married Walter Gorman in Newton, Iowa. They eventually settled in Colfax and had two sons, Bill and Rod. Naomi was a press operator and worked in several printing businesses. When not working she enjoyed sewing and later took up golf.

Surviving Naomi are her sons Bill, his wife Brenda and their family, Rod, his wife Mindy and their family. Surviving siblings are Wanda Lane and Marvin Jacobs.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Dec. 15 from 1-3:30 p.m. at the Townsend Community Center, 6615 N.E. 41st Ave., Altoona, Iowa, there will be a short program at 1:30.
