Milo Ray Howland passed away on January 18, 2023 at the age of 71. Milo was born on October 20, 1951 to his parents Melvin and Lorena Howland in Atlantic, Iowa. He spent 22 years on the farm in Casey, Iowa tending to the garden, raising sheep and many exotic animals. Milo married Mary Jo on April 3rd, 1982 and were married 40 years. He worked for Norwalk Ready Mixed Concrete for 40 years.
They moved to Madrid, Iowa in 2001, where he volunteered on the Labor Day Committee for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, crafting, traveling, and computer games. Most importantly, he loved spending time with family and friends creating lasting memories.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Jo Howland; children, Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren Michael – April Howland; Mindy Howland Contreras - Carletta & Elevyn Howland – Leo Rodriguez; Jaime – Paige Ridenour; Eric Ridenour – Mychal Ridenour – William Ridenour; Travis (Katie Johnson) Rogan & Colter Howland; Trever – Haydyn Howland. Siblings; sister Sally Howard, sister Norma Garside (Lyle), sister Dianna Sickle, sister Cindy VanDusseldorp (Steve) and siter Cathy Porter (Allen). He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Milo is preceded in death by his Mother, Father, brother Melvin Jr, and sister Debbie.
Per Milo’s Request He will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life at a later date.
