Michael Quint

Michael Ray Quint, 73, of Urbandale, IA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 9, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM, Monday, May 4, 2026, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral. Following the service, a burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Iowa City. Where he will be laid to rest.

Michael was born on October 4, 1952, in Independence Hospital to Donald and Donna (Fry) Quint. He graduated from East Buchanan High School in 1970. He attended Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls Iowa, where he met and married Leah Mullane. Together they had three children and then later divorced. Michael worked various jobs before spending most of his work career as a Quality Assurance Inspector for Heska in Des Moines.

He enjoyed animals, nature and his many dog/bird/horse companions throughout his life.

Michael is survived by his ex-wife Leah , three children, Andrew (Heather) Hazelwood of Paxton IL, Valerie (Cory) Jones of Nevada IA, Vanessa (Octavio) Martinez of Rantoul, IL, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Siblings, Gary (Melinda) Quint of Charles City, IA, Connie Ward Berends (Don) of North Liberty, IA, Cindy (Kevin) Slutts of Atalissa, IA, Mary (Tony) Lovetinsky of Iowa City; his dog Spunky, many friends and family.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and husband, Roger Corriveau.
