Mark Stanley McDonald, 68, peacefully passed away May 26th 2023 at Pine Acres Rehabilitation and Care Center in West Des Moines Iowa. He was born on July 2,1954 to Robert and Marybelle McDonald in Fort Worth, Texas. The family came to Iowa when Mark was 14 years old.
Mark went to Des Moines Technical High School and graduated from there in the class of 1972. He then went on to college at the University of Iowa where he earned his BA in 1983. He loved learning so continued Adult Education classes throughout his adult life.
His greatest love was his dog Jaxx.
His survivors include two sisters, Lynne McDonald, Jana Millard (Brian), one Nephew, Christopher Whitehead (Anja), A Niece, Carrie Halamar (Russell) and 11 Great Nieces and Nephews, all of the DM Metro area.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Allen McDonald and Marybelle Stanley McDonald.
There will be a Visitation on Tuesday June 20th at 11:00 am and Service at Noon at the:
