Mark Alan Lowman, the son of Jimmy D. and Marlene (Fry) Lowman, was born on February 28, 1961, in Spencer, Iowa. He eventually moved with his parents to Algona, and Iowa Falls, Iowa. Mark attended schools in Algona and Iowa Falls and graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1979. Mark went on to graduate from AIB in Des Moines, Iowa with an associate degree in accounting/business. He met the love of his life, Carol Ann, in August of 1996. Mark could talk to anyone, and no one was a stranger. This gift made him an excellent salesman and sales manager at businesses including Best Buy and Radio Shack. He loved the game of golf and would play whenever he could. Mark also loved music of any genre, movies, and was a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan “Go Chiefs”! Mark went to meet his Lord and Savior on Tuesday December 27, 2022, at Granger Nursing and Rehabilitation in Granger, Iowa in the arms of Carol Ann, reaching the age of 61 years, 9 months, and 27 days.
In the past sixteen plus years, Mark endured many health issues from a brain injury caused from a car accident in March of 2006. He came home to Carol Ann in January 2008 and was cared for by her until November of 2019 when it was no longer feasible to care for him at home. That is when he was moved to Polk City Nursing and Rehabilitation and in 2021 to Granger Nursing and Rehabilitation to be closer to Carol Ann.
