Marilyn Lou Houghton, 77, passed away on Monday January1, 2025 at her home in Hartford.
Marilyn was born on December 19, 1946, To Ernest Dale and Helen Lou Robbins in Leon Iowa. She grew up mainly in Des Moines Iowa along with nine siblings and she made many lifelong friends. Marilyn respected people, she liked the old rock and roll, taking the grandchildren out to lunch, and buying then new clothes. She loved working in the Carlisle elementary cafeteria where all the children called her grandma.
Marilyn had two sons, Ricky Dean and Donnie James, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was deeply saddened by the death of her son Ricky.
She is survived by her husband Leo Houghton, son Donnie (Wendy), sisters: Patricia (Alan) Beam, Nina Hall, brothers: Bert, Mark, and Chris Robbins.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Paul Canady, her son Ricky, her sister Anna Dornbush, brothers: David, Clint and Carey Robbins.
