Maralynn Ann (Torode) Allender, 80, of Windsor Heights, IA passed away December 2, 2021. She was born on July 16, 1941 to parents Elmer and Letha (Neagle) Torode. She went to Roosevelt High School in Des Moines and graduated in 1959. Furthering her education, she went to the University of Iowa and graduated in 1963.
She built her life here in the Des Moines area with her husband of 45 plus years, Max Wayne Allender. Maralynn was a part of the Philanthropic Educational Organization and the Des Moines Woman’s Club. When she wasn’t busy with those organizations, she enjoyed to play bridge and spend time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Craig Andrew Allender of West Des Moines, IA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Max Allender and her parents.
