Larry Peltier was born on October 20th, 1954, in Arizona and has passed away on January 19th, 2026, in his sleep peacefully.
Larry was many things in his life. He was in the military, a trucker, a mechanic, and a stand in Santa Claus to any small child who ever met him in public. No matter how busy he was, he always stopped for every little kid who saw his beard with wonder. Larry also always had patience and compassion for his grandchildren, raising them when necessary. Larry always took the time to stop and help a stranger, to protect those who needed it, and to stand up for his beliefs. Larry accepted all people without judgement, be them strangers or friends or family. Music was an important part of his life and he was a drummer. Music helped shape bonds with his loved ones that will always be cherished.
Larry leaves behind three granddaughters, and a great grandson who love and miss him dearly.
Larry Peltier is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Tanya Peltier.
A special thank you to the amazing staff at the Iowa Veterans' home in Marshalltown, Iowa. They made sure he always felt like family and provided unparalleled care and compassion. Another thanks to the amazing staff with Suncrest hospice, all of whom clearly cared so genuinely. Chaplain Chad with Suncrest hospice was a particularly bright spot in Larry's days, and the music therapy he provided helped him so greatly.
