Kent Harper



Kent was born to Lester (Sid) and Glennagean Harper on May 31, 1965. He passed away unexpectedly on January 29. 2023, surrounded by his family and friends.


A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 11th from 1 to 6 PM at the New Life Church, located at 6036 NE 12th Ave. Pleasant Hill, IA 50327. Kent's family encourages Kansas City casual dress in honor of Kent and his Superbowl team. Go Cheifs!


Kent enjoyed watching NASCAR as well as all types of racing. He loved the Kansas City Chiefs, as well as going hunting, fishing, and listening to all kinds of music. Most of all, he loved spending time with those he loved.


His laugh was infectious and will be dearly missed by all, including his fiancée, Toni Agan; sisters, Cheryl Harper-Dial, Holly (Deb) Harper-Murrin; nieces, Chantyl Harper and Ashley Harper; nephew, Alex (Megan) Harper; step-children, Brandi Chasar (Buck) and Joel Thompson; great-nephews, Roger III, Trenton, Leo, Lawson, Layland, Luca; great-niece, Makenna; grandchildren, Krista, Jaidyn, Camden, Aubrey, and Jordan; and lifelong friend, Nick (Melanie) Earles.


Kent was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
