Kenneth 'Kenny' Cross

Kenny Cross was born November 7, 1939, and passed away at the age of 86 on June 13, 2026, at StoryPoint Urbandale, Iowa.

Kenny enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, Green Bay Packers and the Iowa Hawkeyes. He loved cheering on any sport that was in season. He really enjoyed playing golf and especially loved playing at Pebble Beach Golf Club in California with his brothers.

Kenny graduated from Lincoln High School and went into the Army 101st Airborne and then became a bricklayer. He retired after a long career as a Territory Manager for National By Products. He was a long-time member of the ZA-GA-ZIG Shriners of Iowa.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 39 years Darlene Cross, children Orlando III (Kim) Vivone of Des Moines, Lori Vivone of Urbandale, Courtney Feener of Stuart, Florida and Lisa (Todd) Cruchelow of Indianola. Grandchildren Orlando Vivone IV, Jonathon (Megan) VanderEcken, Nick Vivone, Hunter Cruchelow & Haley Feener. Great Grandchildren Easton and Maverick VanderEcken and Vincent Vivone. His brother Dave (Lisa) Cross of IL, Janet Cross of Ankeny, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Alice (Ersland) Cross; his brothers Charlie, Tom Cross, Jack Rizer and sister-in-law Judy Cross.

Per Kenny’s request, the family will be having a private celebration of life.
