He married the love of his life Betty Jean Sturdivant, also known as “Cuddles” on September 15, 1956. Kenny worked briefly at John Deere, before he was offered a better job at Bridgestone Firestone. He eventually retired from Firestone and quickly found himself bored. That is when he started driving the school bus for Madrid Community.
Kenny had many hobbies from tractors, motorcycles, planes, automobiles and jokes. Regardless of where he ran into you, he always told you a joke. He was also known for his $1 rings, that were made for every occasion. Kenny loved to take Betty Jean on adventures whether it was on the ground or in the air. Studebakers were his passion and his garages were full of them. Kenny and Betty Jean have been longtime members of the Iowa Hawkeye Chapter Studebaker Club, where Kenny was once the President. The Club gave him the nickname “Captain Studebaker”. Kenny loved his family deeply, and loved to gather on the patio for family BBQs.
Please come and help us Celebrate his Life at the Madrid Community Room on June 4, 2022 from 1PM – 4PM.
