Karen K. Fry

Karen K. Fry was born on May 15, 1939, at Mary Greeley hospital in Ames, Iowa and passed away on April 5, 2026, at Unity Point hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

She loved her parrots and Gracie her dog. Karen worked as a Unit Clerk at Unity Point in ICU, CCU and SICU. She loved her job and worked there over 20 years before retiring.

Surviving family includes daughters Marilyn Fry and Nancy Vanderhaar, sisters Shirley and George Rutter, Judy Erickson, Sandra McCauley, and brothers Eddie and Sandy Erickson, and Chuck Erickson.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Ann Erickson, and sons Phillip and Dean Erickson.
