June Marie Costa “Bugs, June Bug and Cricket”, 65 of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Polk City Nursing Home.
June Marie Streeter was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 6, 1956; she was the daughter of Leslie Earl and Margaret Pearl (Buchannon) Streeter.
She enjoyed drawing, listening to music, dancing, spending time with family, and being outside in the sun. She enjoyed spending time with children and spent over 10 years as an in-home childcare provider. She was a pet lover and had a large variety of animals over the years.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Nick (Isis) Costa of Disputanta, VA, Cory Costa of Ankeny, IA, Kristin Bennet of Huxley, IA, grandchildren; Anthony Costa, Jeremiah Costa, Gabriella Costa, Andrew Costa, Jordan Costa, Nicole Costa, Hudson Costa, Deandre Costa, Donte Manley, Derreck Manley, Destin Bennett and one great-grand-child; Adrian Costa, as well her siblings; Christine Horn, Sue (Steve) Bellis, Naomi (Doug) Gordon, Robert E. Streeter, Earl Streeter, and many nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by her; parents Leslie and Margaret Streeter, her sisters; Patricia Frye, Pamela Fees, Ethel Fazio, Margaret Hill, Betty Burks, and her brothers; Ronald Streeter, Leslie Streeter Jr, Danny Streeter and Robert M. Streeter, and granddaughter; Noel Costa.
The celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 7th at Cottonwood Rec Center in shelter #4 from 2:00-5:00pm.
