Judyanne (Baumann) Moore

Judyanne Moore (Baumann), loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 22, 2025, at Westview of Indianola Care Center.

Judy was born on February 15, 1944, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Gottlieb and Margaret Louise Baumann. A devout Christian, Judy lived her faith through service to others. She fostered many children in Des Moines and later worked as a CNA and activities director in various nursing homes, where her compassion and kindness touched countless lives.

In the summer of 1992, Judy met the love of her life, Larry Moore. They were happily married for 33 years. Following retirement, Larry and Judy moved to Harrison, Arkansas, where they were active in their church community. Judy especially loved helping with the church food pantry and serving those in need.

Judy found joy in painting ceramics, tending to her flower garden, and spending cherished time with her family. She never hesitated to share her love for the Lord and was faithful in praying for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Don and Jay Baumann; her sister, Barbara; and her grandsons, Levi Steil and Nicholas Moore.

Judy is survived by her loving husband, Larry Moore of Indianola; her brother, Bill Baumann of Carson City, NV, sisters, Karen Stubbs of Des Moines and Dianne Bernholtz (Jerry) of New Virginia; her children, Don Steil (Dawn) of Kaufman, Texas, Ed Steil (Julie) of Lacona, and Tom Steil (Tina) of Altoona; Lisa Lewellin (Terry) of Ankeny, Bruce Moore (Julie) of Indianola, Tangie Litchkey (Tony) of Indianola, and Tony Moore (Ashlee) of Bondurant; as well as 20 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family finds comfort in knowing they will see her again someday. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
