Juanita (Nita) Irene Havens

Juanita (Nita) Irene Havens, born December 14, 1946, in Des Moines, Iowa; she passed away on September 6, 2025.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Wednesday September 17 at the Lutheran Church of Hope in West Des Moines with a luncheon to follow. Inurnment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines at 1:30 pm. Nita enjoyed gardening, working in her yard, always planting new flowers; and she loved to mow with her lawn tractor.  She was a homemaker and cleaned houses for numerous people.

Nita was preceded in death by her husband Marvin W. Losee; her Father Melvin Havens; Mother Opal Luisa Gifford; brother Norman Franklin Havens; & sister Judith Ann Havens.

Nita is survived by her stepchildren, Michael Losee; Dennis Losee; Laura Losee; & Judy Mitchell, step grandchildren: Jamie; Monica; Dennis Jr.; Angela, step great grandchildren: Cody; Ryan; Taylor; Aaron; Mallory; & Jaxon, step great-great grandchildren: Jensen; Madison; Noah; Adam; Moses; & Francisco and her beloved dog Kimmie Sue.
