Jennifer Ann (Mettler) Wahlert, 40, of Madrid, IA passed away on September 21, 2021 at UnityPoint Health-Iowa Methodist Medical Center, where she received the most gracious and loving care during her final days, with her father, Don, by her side.
It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my daughter, Jennifer, with you. She fought with pre-existing medical conditions for over 30 years. Jennifer was born to Nanette and Donald Metter, on October 31, 1980, in Newton, IA.
Jennifer was a smart and loving daughter and received straight A’s in elementary school and graduated from Newton High School in 1999. Her life was abruptly turned upside down, at the age of nine, with the loss her step- brother, Donald Ray Mettler Jr. in 1991, and shortly after, her mother, Nanette Lee (Cooper) Mettler in 1992.
Jennifer was married to Christopher Wahlert and was widowed in 2017. Jennifer had a smile that would light up the room when she walked in. That smile will be deeply missed.
Jennifer is survived by her father, Donald Ray Mettler of Madrid, Iowa.
