Jennie Lyndell Richardson
February 15, 1944 ~ October 2, 2022
Jennie Lyndell Richardson, 78, passed from this world on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at 2220 hours to be home with her Lord and Father in heaven
after a long battle with cancer.
Lyndell was born February 15, 1944 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Walter Everett and Emma Lucille Luko(Bollman). She was raised in Pulaski, Iowa.
She was married to Norman Richardson on August 24, 1974. Lyndell was an LPN for 13 years at the Davis County nursing home. Lyndell and Norman lived and farmed in Bloomfield, Iowa. Lyndell played piano and organ at the Pulaski United Methodist Church for Sunday school, church service and weddings. They sold the farm and moved to Des Moines, IA in 2000 where Lyndell worked in medical records at Iowa Methodist Hospital until 2002.
Lyndell enjoyed old western movies, watching the Baseball World Series, crossword puzzles and playing the piano. She was great at cooking, sewing,
homemaking and loved all flowers and their kitty cat "Rascal". She was the "Rock" for her family when times were rough.
Lyndell confirmed her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior before she passed from this world.
Lyndell is survived by her husband of 48 years, Norman E. Richardson, 4 children: son, Lee A. Overfield of Gillette, WY; daughter, Sherry (Eric) Stromer of Des Moines, IA; son, Curtis (Linda) Richardson of Ottumwa, IA; son, Kris Richardson of Des Moines, IA; brother, David (Donna) Luko of Ottumwa, IA; and step-grandson, Coltin Hoguet/girlfriend Olivia Anders of Ottumwa, IA.
Lyndell was preceded in death by her parents and brother William (Joy) Luko.
A celebration of life will be held at the Pulaski Community Center on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:00 am with meal and refreshments following. A graveside gathering will be held at 10:30 am at the Pulaski West Cemetery for family prior to the Celebration of Life.
