Jack Todden, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on June 7, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on October 28, 1944, Jack lived a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure and leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
His unwavering generosity marked Jack's life as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He had a heart as big as his Honda and a spirit as wild as the open and winding road. Whether cruising down the highway on his motorcycle or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Jack was at peace. Jack had a passion for music that could energize any room. Music lived in his heart, from dancing in his younger years, to entertaining those around him by playing one of many instruments or singing in the kitchen.
A genuine patriot, Jack loved his country, often giving a spirited voice to his values. Professionally, he was a true entrepreneur and a proud small business owner who poured his heart and soul into everything he did.
His dedication to his work was matched only by his devotion to his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette; his son, Chris, and daughter-in-law, Danielle; daughter, Shelley, and her husband, Keith; his grandson, Jay, and partner, Cheyenne; and his great-granddaughters, Scarlett and Saige. He is also survived by his brother, Michael "Joe" Todden.
A casual-attire celebration of Jack's life will be held on June 14, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 PM, with memories shared at 3:15 PM at Merle Hay Funeral Home, 4400 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines, IA 50310.
