Glen L. Alderman died May 21st, 2023 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Glen was born January 7th 1939 in Des Moines, the son of Theodore and Esther Alderman.
Glen married the love of his life Nancy Haltom and settled down in the Four Mile neighborhood to raise their 5 children.
Glen worked construction all his life retiring at the age of 62, in his retirement he worked with his sons in the logging business.
Glen had a passion for hunting and fishing that he passed on to his sons, and grandsons. He also ran field trial dogs and coon hunting dogs.
Glen is survived by his sons David Alderman, Dennis Alderman, Donnie Alderman, daughters Deanna (Chuck) Thomas, Denise (Manuel) Castro. Eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Jean Alderman.
Glen was preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy; parents Theodore and Esther; Sister Joy (Lawrence), Brother Dale and his wife Phyllis, brother Lee, and Grandchildren Kristine Cruz, Jon Alderman.
The family will have a celebration of Glen’s life Saturday June 10th from 1pm to 4pm at the Baldwin-Patterson American Legion E.42nd and Easton. Lunch will be provided.
