July 26, 1947 – March 19, 2026

Frank Greco, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026, at the age of 78, surrounded by the family he spent his lifetime nurturing and protecting.

A graduate of Lincoln High School, Frank’s lifelong love story began early when he married his high school sweetheart, Mary Anne. Together, they built a life rooted in Des Moines, welcoming their son, Christopher, in 1971. Frank and Mary Anne's bond was an inspiration to all who knew them, lasting over six decades until Mary Anne’s passing in January 2026.

Frank proudly served in the Army Reserves before making his mark on the Des Moines social scene through his ownership of several local bars and restaurants, most notably Greco Brothers Pizza and Grapes & Grain.

Frank was a man of simple pleasures and kindness. He could often be found in the garden, tending to his plants, on the green, enjoying a round of golf, or at his favorite place, the kitchen table, devouring Mary Anne’s cooking, which he always swore was the best in the world.

Frank had a compassionate soul that left everyone he met feeling loved and valued.

In honor of a love that could not be separated for long, a joint Celebration of Life for both Frank and Mary Anne will be held this May. Specific details regarding the date, time, and location will be shared with friends and family soon.

Frank’s spirit lives on through the family he adored: Son & Daughter-in-law, Christopher and Chrissy Greco; Granddaughter & Grandson-in-law, Mikhaila and Brandon; Great-granddaughter and namesake, Frankie; Brother, Pete (Tracey) Greco; Sister, Paula (Jerry) Connett; Brothers-in-law Barry Leporte and Don (Marge) Leporte; and many beloved Nieces and Nephews. Frank is reunited in peace with his parents, Joseph and Lucille Greco; and his beloved wife, Mary Anne.

"Deeply loved, dearly missed, and forever in our hearts."
