Donna J. Kinsey

August 28, 1946 – December 22, 2025

Donna J. Kinsey passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Monday, December 22, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.

Donna was born on August 28, 1946, to Donald and Dorothy Bell of Marengo, Iowa. She was a graduate of Iowa Valley High School. On January 1, 1967, she married the love of her life, David Kinsey. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, kindness, and hard work.

She was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Jodi (Jeff) Evans and Jennifer (the late Seth) Wilson, and a proud grandmother to her granddaughter, Kinsey Evans, whom she loved dearly.

Donna will be remembered for her friendly smile, jovial laugh, and the genuine kindness she extended to everyone she met. She spent many years as a homemaker, dedicating herself fully to her family, and later worked at the Ankeny Hy-Vee, where she was well known for her time in the flower shop and her work as Accounting Coordinator.

Donna found joy in life’s simple pleasures—sharing coffee with friends, quilting, and spending meaningful time with those she loved. She was also actively involved in the National T.T.T. Society, where she served for many years and had the honor of serving as National President.

A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Food Bank of Iowa.

She will be missed beyond words and remembered forever by all who were fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
