Dolores Ann Summy, 87, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone with her daughter by her side. She was born in Red Oak to Inez Mae O’Bryan & Furniss “Buck” Theodore Dahl.
Dolores and her husband Harold traveled to every state in their motor home over 2 years. They settled down in Apache Junction, Arizona. Dolores worked at State Farm and was a pharmacist.
She loved dancing and she taught line dancing. She also enjoyed taking trips with her best friends. Another one of her most favorite past times was spending time with her grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 2 sons, Gregory & Dennis, granddaughter Kaylee Templeton and her brothers, Don & Duane Dahl.
She is survived by her daughter Connie Templeton, son Steve Summy, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 19th from 1 to 5 pm at the Des Moines Citadel Worship and Community Center, 1216 E 25th Ct. Des Moines.
